Client Service Specialist – Insurance

About the role

Marshall+Sterling is looking for a licensed Client Service Specialist to support personal and commercial insurance clients from its St Croix office. The role centers on ensuring policy accuracy, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to account retention and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Review policy coverage, identify enhancement opportunities, and coordinate with the Account Manager.
• Underwrite individual risk situations to meet agency and carrier standards.
• Secure applications for coverage from Sales Executives, Account Managers, and clients.
• Verify policies for accuracy and completeness, updating them per workflow procedures.
• Handle cancellation requests and assist in retaining accounts.
• Use each service contact as an opportunity for account development, including coverage upgrades and referrals.
• Communicate regularly with clients to thank them for their business and document all interactions.
• Perform financial duties as directed by management.

Required profile

• College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in insurance lines, rating, underwriting, and related procedures.
• Appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education.
• Proven ability to exceed expectations and work effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
